CALLING ALL COPELAND COUSINS!

Are you a descendant of the Copeland family of Nicholas Copeland, born about 1697 in

Virginia, whose family later settled in Orange and Chatham Counties, North Carolina

and points South and West?

I am currently gathering family material for my forthcoming Copeland family history, and

I would love to hear from descendants of this family. If you aren't certain whether your

Copeland line connects to Nicholas, please email me. Send me what you know about

your earliest Copeland ancestor, and I may be able to help determine whether your

family belongs to this line.

I am Especially Looking For:

• Family ancestry charts or pedigrees showing your descent from the early Copeland

family

• Good-quality family photographs, particularly older photographs with the people

identified

• Family Bible pages, letters, diaries, obituaries, military records, or other family

documents

• Photographs of family homes, farms, churches, cemeteries, or other places associated

with the Copelands

• Family stories and traditions that have been passed down through the generations

• Information about where different branches of the family migrated and settled

come from scanning the original photograph at high resolution and saving it as a PNG

or high-quality JPEG file. If you aren't sure how to prepare a photograph, just email me

and I will send you simple step-by-step instructions.
